RADICAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountability, in general, is a rarity. In the modern workplace and community space, and in every space, really, accountability is a necessity to create inclusive, socially just environments. Accountability requires understanding, mindful communication, and an action plan for change. It benefits everyone involved, even if it feels like a loss if you're taking accountability for a mistake, especially if it was well-intentioned.
Understanding radical accountability is what makes becoming an ally (or better yet, an accomplice) to marginalized folks possible. Without accountability, and without understanding that effects of actions matter more than their intentions, solidarity is an impossibility.
People in positions of power taking accountability and manifesting that accountability through dialogue and subsequent tangible, ongoing, disruptive change? That's radical.
